About the workshop:
Have you ever wondered how your garden connects to the landscapes around you? Why rich volcanic soils occur only on the top of hills? Or why beach sand is different to river sand? This workshop will introduce you to some basic geological concepts that will explain what rocks are made of, how they form, and the role they play in the formation of the landscapes around us. The workshop will include hands-on activities, so please bring a rock or some soil from your patch and see how it fits into the bigger picture of the Sunshine Coast
