Yandina Community Gardens is seeking a passionate and like-minded person to fill the role of the Association Secretary. This is a volunteer position that is an integral part of the management committee and helps guide and action the strategic direction of the organisation.
Your duties will include:
- keeping the register of members (online system used)
- taking nominations for the committee
- telling members about meetings by giving plenty of advance notices
- calling and convening meetings
- preparing meeting agendas
- gathering and presenting relevant documents
- taking and keeping minutes of meetings
- making the minutes available to members and other related tasks
The following tasks will be supported by the organisation administration person:
- sending and receiving letters, emails or other documents
- advising the president or treasurer about urgent matters that arise from letters or other documents
- Other legislative requirements & notifications
